These papers included notes in Alice Mae Hedrick Carpenter's own handwriting, what appear to be transcripts of Bible Records, and most importantly a copy of the pension application, complete with all the supporting documents, for Ira's Railroad Pension in 1957.

End of Lot 119 in Troy for $850. House is still standing but extensively remodeled. As a side note, one of the "heirs" mentioned was the researcher's 4great grandmother. And to top it off, when John L. and Mary J. Carpenter sold the house 25 May 1878 for $1000, they sold it back to the researcher's 4great grandmother and husband, W. W. and A.
